Where can I learn more about the Actuarial Science industry?
We have found the following websites to be helpful for someone who would like to know more about the actuarial profession and the exams that go along with it.
Be An Actuary
You can find information about the actuarial exams by clicking on the Actuarial Exams tab. The first exams that you will have to take are the preliminary exams. There are 6 of them in total. You don't have to take them in any particular order although it is strongly recommended that you start with P and FM, then move to IFM and LTAM, then finally to STAM and SRM.
Society of Actuaries (SOA)
You can find information about the SOA designations by clicking on the Education tab. Exams are part of the requirements for attaining these designations.
Casualty Actuarial Society
You can find information about exams offered by the CAS by clicking on the Exams & Admissions tab.
